Do you require a Leicester Magician?

By Adam Cunningham

So you have been asked to plan an event for work? The responsibility is on you and you hope can pull off a miracle given the timescales you most probably have been put under. Well fear not, as a Leicester Magician I am here to help you wade through it all and plan a superior event that will really make you the star of the evening.

The most important part of arranging a works event or function is getting the entertainment right. As a magician in Leicester I would recommend going online and looking at the entertainer's websites. Do they look like they work on a regular basis? Check for blog posts and performance footage or photographs? If they are all in a studio it's a good indication that they don't have much experience.

Have you made a small list of suitable performers? Now is the right time to start making contact. Use their enquiry forms or give them a call. You need to find out what types of performances they offer and which one is the right choice for your event. You may want a stand up magician who performs a show for his group as a whole. Perhaps a Mingling magician in Leicester would be better. Someone who walks around at your event and amazes guests with their close up magic.

So by now, things should hopefully be shaping up. You have a suitable performance option lined up and a shortlist of performers including a Leicester magician. Now is the time to check their credentials. Look for testimonials or client quotes from previous bookings. If they don't appear on their site, it's a reasonable indication that they don't perform as much as they let on. Testimonials are a hugely important thing to showcase, successful performers are proud to display. If yours doesn't, time to look elsewhere.

By now you will have checked those testimonials and requested hard copies if they don't appear online. If everything seems in order, then it's time to book the Leicester magician for the big event. Some entertainers may request that you sign a confirmation form or provide a deposit. This is normal and 20% is usually about the right amount. Remember some of these artists get booked up early so please don't take too long deciding or else you may miss out on the act you really want. By following this article set out you will have however put yourself in a strong position to plan a successful event. Good luck and all the best.
